View Full Version : P2000 or P2000SK .40<->.357 SIG conversions?
I know Glocks and M&Ps can be switched simply with a barrel change. Is the same true with P2000s/SKs? What do barrels generally cost?
One great thing about the M&P is you can get a S&W barrel for < $90.

The P2000 and P2000SK .40S&W are both capable of converting to .357SIG with a barrel swap. The USP Compact is also capable of this conversion. The .40S&W magazines can be used with the conversion.
The .357SIG factory barrels are somewhat rare, especially for the P2000SK. If I remember correctly, I paid about $150 for my lightly used USPc .357SIG factory barrel.
Yes you can. Only thing needed is to swap the barrels. All other parts and mags are the same between the two. As H&K 4 Life said, can be tough to find the barrels.
At one time there were some package deals for P2000 and USPc that came with both barrels.
However, caveat, H&K frowns on the practice from a warranty point of view and doesn't officially bless owner caliber conversions. Not that I would expect you to have any issues they are the same pistol except what is stamped on the slide. Just FYI.
been looking for one, ($200.00) for a p2ksk cannot find one hk will not sell you one . maybe a ffl dealer can order one
Best bet would be to buy the P2000/SK in .357 and then buy the .40 S&W barrel. New .357s are still available.

I had a P2000sk that came brand new from the factory in .357 SIG, along with a .40 S&W barrel. It was a great pistol, but just not my cup of tea... I recently swapped it back to its original owner for a Colt 1911 that works better for my personal preferences.
To answer your question... Yes. The P2000sk can be switched between the two calibers with nothing more than a simple barrel change. As others have stated though, the barrels can be pricey individually.
