Do a Google search for free .wav files - looks like there are quite a few.
"Give me a ping, Vasily" http://soundbible.com/1184-Sonar-Ping.html
You could also try downloading Audacity. You can use it to record an audio clip from a DVD and save as a .wav file.

I use Audacity to capture all sounds from my PC.

"Give me a ping, Vasily" http://soundbible.com/1184-Sonar-Ping.htmlthanks.I ended up with 3 sounds from the site. I added "give me some sugar baby" for windows start up,"sonar ping" for internet sound and "evil scream" for windows shutdowm.
Its fit this computer perfect, thanks again.
Incidently, I forgot about the evil scream and when I logged off late last nite, I scared myself.:rofl:
