Been wanting one but just didn't know if this was a good used price.
Thanks. :wavey:

Just curious, how long ago? Also does anyone know if SA would have charged for the de-burr, feed ramp polish, barrel ream and extractor tune?

6 months or so ago. It sounds like what SA would do to one that had feeding problems under warranty.

That's what I thought. So then it wouldn't have cost him anything then?

I couldn't for sure that's why they did it, but if so SA did it for free. None of that is worth sending it in for if it ran fine.

Read the first paragraph of this thread and see if it sounds familiar....

I got mine for $900 brand new a couple years ago. It was a really nice pistol.

With or without tax, good deal.

I agree that is warranty work that he is trying to pass off as "extra" or "custom" work from Springfield. So instead of saying he sent in in to Springfield for some issues it had and now it runs fine he attempts to pass it off as a bonus feature? Kinda like saying a car has "new" paint after it has had body work done from a wreck. That alone would make me not do business with him.

That price is nothing special either IMO.

I have sold and bought multiple firearms on Texas Gun Traders and the vast majority of people are good to go, this guy strikes me as one to shy away from. Just my .02

Thanks Ruggles, that was the impression I got as well.

Very welcome. That model Springfield is a nice looking 1911. Keep an eye out at Buds Guns online they get them in from time to time.

They are hard to find it seems, have not seen many at gun shows or shops in Houston.

Kimber makes a version very close to it and those are far more commonly seen.

Good luck.

Without tax.

I wouldn't be worried about that gun having warranty work, SA will take care of you. I just think it's BS that he's passing off warranty work as "upgrades".

Yeah, I'm not concerned about the work just wanted to make sure my suspicion of it being possible warranty work.

If I offered him $700 that should be fair right?
I have a feeling he is trying to get out what he paid after taxes, but its still used.

I'd even give $800 for it. I love mine.

Do you find it better fitted than a standard Loaded?

I don't have much experience with a standard Loaded, but it's fit as well as my RO and it's 99% as tight as my TRP.
