Hey everyone, so Ive got an issue I need some information on. I want to put a Ed Brown Memory Groove on my TLE II but for the life of me, I cant figure out if I should get the series 70 or 80 grip safety. It would appear its a 70's but at this point Im just confused. Thanks for the help.

TLE II is neither, it has the Schwartz safety which uses the grip safety to release. Talk to someone at the place you are planning to purchase from.

You need a 70 Series GS for it.

BTW, you do know that you will have to fit/blend the Ed Brown grip safety to the Kimber since the Ed Brown is a higher cut.

:dunno:Kinda of funny but when I called Kimber a while back about my Kimber TLE/RL II they told me it was an 80. :dunno:

the Kimber "Swartz" safety differs from the"80 Series" safety.
The 80 Series uses 2 levers that fit on the side of the hammer and sear, which requires a thinner arm on the grip safety.
The Swartz safety uses the grip safety arm to move the part.

Thanks everyone for the answers. Ive got a smith who is going to do all the fitting and blending. I just wanted to make sure I had ordered all the right parts.

Thanks Quack, I knew they were different, but could not remember the details.
