My everyday carry is a G27 in an MTAC holster. If I have to dress up, I wear a Bersa Thunder 380 in an ankle holster. Not the best, but better than nothing. Just ordered a few IWB for the Bersa. Still would rather carry the G27. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Yep-it's a allmost 50 year old BHP-just like these kind of classics very much.
Carried a G 19 quite a while as well but i just like the BHP more. It's a bit havier, the size is equal, the BHP a bit slimmer-so more easy to conceal fo me as a 130 pound guy.
I prefer to carry it with a round in the chamber,12 in the Mag,safety off, decocked.I exercise a lot to draw and cock in the same time, what is my only sporty occupation these days-i'm getting always that lazy in the fall.:uglylol:

I carry a G36 IWB.
Kahr CW9 with a NAA .22LR mini backup. Hot weather will be a Beretta Bobcat in the pocket, or the Kahr or Charles Daly HP 9MM in a fanny pack. Lots of tourists around here, so the fanny pack doesn't stand out.
I now carry a glock 23, sixty persent of the time, and a smith 642 38 the rest of the time, strange i shoot the 642 as well as i do the glock 23.. i prefer to carry the snubby rf pocket in mika holster, it is much faster to draw and fire then the g23......
Carry G23 "all the time" until today I tried my old (from my college days) S&W36-1. The 36-1 was sure comfortable! May have try it more often especially when being found carrying is more than an inconvenience.
EDC is 95% S@W 442.
Today I went 1911.

since my last post,i have changed fron carrying glock 23 sixty percent of the time.,to a glock 27 same ammount, much more comfy to carry and if i wish i can pocket carry it wo mag ext, shoots the same, the rest of the time i carry a smith 642, and that will never change, pocket in mika holster, very fast to get into action with the 642....ILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN, AFTER CARRYING THE 27 FOR 2 WEEKS, DUMPED IT AND RETURNED TO G23, HERES WHY, CARRYS BETTER, MORE ACCURATE, MORE BULLETS,WAY LESS FELT RECOIL THEN 27, ILL NOT CHANGE AGAIN,THE 23 STAYS

( I love the way the spell check on this site keeps trying to correct the word "Glock")!
I just picked up another CCW. This sweet Springfield Armory 1911 Ultra Compact .45. It was customized by Glades Gun Works in Naples FL. Custom stippling on the front and rear backstraps, Wilson Combat match grade barrel and grip panels, custom safety lever and trigger, and Novak Tritium night sights I just love the looks of it. Don't know if it will ever replace my trusty G23, but it is definitley another good go to gun. Both the Glock and 1911 are carried in a Desantis Cozy Partner IWB or SmartCarry. My BUG will remain the S&W 642 in a Desantis nemisis pocket holster.

Current CCW : Kimber Pro CDP II, .45ACP, 1911.
However, I just placed an order for a Wilson Combat "Professional Model" 1911 that will take over CCW and all-around duty. The Kimber will be going to the wife, as she just recently got actively involved in shooting.
most of the time SA "Loaded" 1911 .45 or a glock 17. but been thinking of switching to glock 19 or ruger p95.
I carry I Glock 23 on and off duty. Sometimes I carry a 27 off duty .

I switch it up, depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going. Either a Taurus 85 (steel frame) or a G23, sometimes both if going in a bad end of town. And a reload for whatever I'm carrying.

Glock 23 and now a Glock 29...
My CCW varies between a Kimber TLE/RL II and a GLOCK 22. Ammo load out varies depending on wear I'm headed, but never less than 1 extra mag. Occasionally I'll carry my 642 in addition to the other one.
Kel-Tek P3AT for the moment but soon to be replaced by a Taurus Millennium Pro .40 S&W model 140SSP which was ordered a week ago.

depends on what I'm wearing andhow I feel about the circumstances I'm likely to encounter. Comfort and concealability are big issues, so that Glock is usually either not for concealed carry, or only for 'big coat' days. (I'm sorta skinny.)

Depends on the mood and as other have noted what I am wearing that day. The guns I have been known to carry include:
Glock 29
Springfield XD 9 Sub Compact
FN Five Seven
Current CCW Russina Makarov with extra mag.
I used to carry a Glock 19 but it didn't fit my hands that well at all and for some reason I enjoy shooting the Mak more and am a better shot with it. The 19 became the dresser gun and may end up being destined for safe queen status.
My wife doesn't carry that often but when she does she has a Taurus 85 in her purse as well as pepper spray

Got my Taurus Millennium Pro .40 S&W model 140SSP this afternoon and the first thing I did was compare it to my P3AT. It is much bigger, thicker and heavier than the K-T. Then I compared it to my G22 and all of a sudden the 140SSP didn't look so big anymore. :) Range trip will be tomorrow and if all goes well I can start to think about making a change out with my P3AT as my CCW. Or maybe use both depending on the situation on any particular day. :)

I just bought one of those too. Picking it up this weekend. Mine has the DAO trigger...light, smooth and consistent. Will replace my Hungarian Walther pp copy in 9x18 and my Beretta Vertec will be house gun.

Well... went to the range this afternoon and found out how much I like the trigger of my new Millennium Pro 140SSP. As compared to my P3AT and G22, this trigger is smooth as warm butter. Fired a 100 rounds of WWB ball ammo and 10 rounds of Speer Gold dot. Not a single mishap with feeding and ejecting. Can not say the same about my shooting tho. Was about 6 inches too low with this Taurus but think I can fix that next trip out. Since I can't do the pocket thing with this pistol I guess I'll have to find some sort of waistband clip holster thing. Bet there are tons of those around. :)

I've used one of those pagerpals..... They suck. I don't see how anybody can pull off wearing one and stay comfortable, and all without printing (And I don't mean the gun. The holster. Looked like I had a dinner plate down my pants.). I couldn't even pull off ONE of those things with it, much less both together. Worst holster ever.

Usually G23 with 13+1, IWB, OWB. Star Firestar 40 for the longest time with Milt Sparks IWB ( comfy but heavy). P13 was heavy after 4hrs even with a good holster and dropped for lack of reliability. HK USP was too big except in winter. I'd consider the Kahr series but they're pricey and have questionable quality control.

100% in the 12 yrs I owned it. I shot it a lot even during some IDPA matches but mostly club matches over the years. I put Trijicons on the front and carried it for 80% CCW. I was cleaning it one day and had it loaded with 7 +1 and compared it to my HK FS USP45 loaded with 12+1 and couldn't believe they weighed almost the same! I only sold it because I wanted something lighter and because I moved to a wet and humid region-that was the G23.

Most of the time, when I leave the house my carry is tucked (very comfortably) in one of these, inside my belt but outside the pants.

Thanks a lot Gimp! I have been looking for something like this. The closest I found was the Yaqui style but it lacked the clip. Nothing I've tried so far works close enough to qualify as a concealment holster.
I bought a Fobus Roto but the thing stuck out way too far. I tried a Galco shoulder rig but re-holstering while wearing was next to impossible.
The Mex carry style is comfortable but not too secure feeling and I still have a mental block about carrying her chambered whilst pointed at my femoral artery.

Carry Taurus PT92 with 3 RamLine 18 round mags and KT P3AT with spare mag at all times. Sometimes the Taurus M85 rides along. This is my familiar area rig.
When I'm out of my comfort zone I carry the following:
Pair of G22s with 16 round mags (+1 extensions) and 4 spare mags. KT in pocket with spare magand the occasional M85 carry.
I bought a Glock 30 for carry but it's just too big to conceal easily with summer wear (and here in Texas we dress light most of the year). What I carry most of the time is a Kel-Tec P3AT because it's better than nothing. When I can conceal it I like to carry my wife's Kahr P9. It's a fine little weapon that is pretty easy to hide and doesn't weigh much.

I carry an auto. A glock is just as dependable as a wheel gun, with more capacity. The 19 is very concealable in warm weather, I carry my 23 all year. Either in a Desantis Cozy Partner IWB or in a SmartCarry. While in the Cozy Partner, just wear a light weight shirt untucked, or in the SmartCarry, heck it won't show with nothing but shorts or a bathing suit on! Either the 26 or 19 are much better primary guns, keep the P3AT as a BUG.

I think we are spoiled for choice here. Love many of my pistolas... Glock 26 and Glock 30 are the ideal pair for me; I am inclined towards .45 when I am able to carry same. Not much difference in size/weight between the G26/G30 really. Just enough to make that G26 attractive for carrying under a t shirt. Mind the G30 doesn't really print that much. Also LOVE the Walther P99's in 9mm and .40. And my Ruger P345 although a bit heavy. And my HK's... well, now we are in a different world altogether. The p7 series P7M8 and P7PSP are both outstanding and I carry them when I need to carry IWB, especially aimed at the jewels. They are incredibly safe feeling as squeeze cockers. Funny thing is that I have a load of 1911 and variants, Sigs, etc. and don't care to carry any of them. I just don't think they are reliable enough. And living in Canada right now, I have to take them across the border, and keeping them in Canada means that in order to be legal they have to have a 4.25" barrel... which generally translates into a 5" barrel realistically. Except for a few, like the HK P7's or the Glocks with replacement 105mm barrels substituted. Storm Lake.
I would love to carry one of those featherweights or one of the tiny auto's. But they have to return to Canada with me and thus have to be 4.25" long barrel length. Oh well. Another 4 years or so and the kids will be in college and we'll be RVing around the southern states in the cold weather months.
There is a move afoot up here north of the 49th. to try and regain our rights to carry, which are granted by law but ignored by the beurocrats and politicians.

Used to carry a small revolver, either a Rossi 5 shot 38sp or a Taurus 5 shot 44sp. Not a bit of trouble with either, but I've retired both of them in favor of a Glock 22.

I am 63 years old. I strongly prefer the semi autos. I know my way around computers fairly well for a geezer.
How old did you say you were? You don't seem to know a great deal about "older folks".
Go out and get yourself a clue. :wavey:
Yep, 65 years old and opened our computer store in Tampa in 1982 - belonged to the Heathkit computer club years before that. Many of us were shooting Glocks before a lot of these kids were born!

i carry a makarov because my G34 is too big!
My carry gun up until now was my G26 but I just bought a Kel-Tec P-3AT and that's what I'll be carrying from now on. It's slim, small, light weight, shoots a decent caliber in hollow point and is reliable.

What do you do if you are leaving the house early in the day and not returning home till late at night??
I know you weren't addressing me, but I'd Keep a G21 Mag as my reload for either gun! That's what I'd do in that situation, anyway. I only have the G30, however. And that's one of the deciding reasons why I bought the 30 instead of the 21. Cause you have more diversity of mags. When I carry my G30, I have a 14 round G21 mag (13 round G21 mag with a +1 extension on it, for them that may not understand what I mean.) with me. Of course, my G30 has a Lasermax in it, too.
