Bought a Ruger P345. Carried that one for a couple years.
My beau bought me a G30 for my birthday and I've been carrying it since. Been over a year now. Recently bought an IWB holster and never leave home without it!

During the last two weeks:

1) SA 1911A1 Commander
2) Ruger Speed Six 2.75"
3) Glock 23
4) Rossi M885

It depends on the weather, time of day, and the destination.

+ 1 on that bulldog! The only complaint that i have is i cant afford the damn ammo

I have about 1000 rounds for the bulldog. Got it on sale 3 years ago from the local gun shop in Cortez Colorado. Told the owner I wanted 1500 rounds...he got worried that my attacker had been released from prison. I told him if I needed that many rounds to take care of that, I needed more training.

On a related note...just got good news that he was denied parole again...next hearing: February 2012

I carry a Springfield XD45 Service Model 4" with Thumb Safety in a Blackhawk Serpa CQC paddle holster. In the summer I wear a t-shirt then a loose fitting, light-weight, long sleeve shirt, unbuttoned, over that.

I have tried all kinds of ways to conceal small guns in hot weather. None have worked well and all were difficult to bring into play. Decided if I was going to carry a gun, I needed to bring it to bear in 1 second and it might as well be a stopper.

Handgun cocked-and-locked with 14 rounds of Remington 230 Gr Golden Saber.

You get used to it after awhile. (A good belt makes all the difference in the world)!

When I can CCW it will be my G19 in a shoulder rig, soon after probably my P226 in .40 in the same.

I cant carry on the waistband, I always have a problem with the butt of the gun sticking out.

Jim Hunter

Try the Blackhawk Serpa CQC. It comes with a belt slide and paddle attachment and can be set for forward, rear (cross-draw), or straight cant. I have mine set at straight cant, and I can wear it outside of concealment with my arm down and it covers the whole thing. This is using a a Springfield XD45 Service Model 4" with Thumb Safety.

S&W 337 pocket carry loaded with 38spl +P Hornady Critical Defense
S&W M60 belt holster loaded with 357 magnum hydro-shoks
Two speedloader strips with 38spl +P Hornady Critical Defense

I like to carry this combo because I only have to have one type of ammo on me to use in both.

I would just love to carry a full framed 1911 but find it too large for concealed carry. Pulls my pants down. Have a couple of Para P1640's that I use for IPSC/IDPA regularly and have never had a single misfeed in a few thousand rounds.

Both/either. Depends on where I am going and what I am wearing. Keltec fits/conceals nicely, can be carried pretty much anytime. M-36 Smith is a beauty and of course, a reliable ol' wheelgun. Smith MP 9 has a whoooole lotta space for a whole lotta ammo but is large, so mainly a handbag or coat ccw. Just depends. I prefer the looks and reliability of a wheelgun, though.

Hello, I'm new here and this is my first post. It's an interesting question. I carry Colt Mustang in the summer because I can carry it even in my shorts pocket and it doesn't print. In the winter with heavier clothes I carry a Bersa 9mm UC SS.

Call me crazy, but I carry a 2nd gen G-17 on my right side with the glock clip securing it so it does not fall down my pant leg.

When it is hot, I tuck in my shirt, so only the side of the glock clip shows. this even works with t-shirts, just wear a couple sizes to large for the purpose.

Realistically, if I need a firearm, why settle for a little firearm with less accuracy & capacity?

I know there are sometimes that a small firearm would be nice, But I like having 18 little friends with me & the ability to deliver them in 8-14" groups @ 75'.

Also a Polish P-64 if I need an ankle gun. It is the smallest pistol chambered in the powerful 9x18 Makarov round. They are VERY accurate, & under $200.00

They are a Walther PPK clone, only smaller & more powerful.

I voted auto because I always grew up with auto's because my dad always had them. He did have one .357 magnum that I shot one time and I was about 14 years old and that had some major kick. It was was the first time I ever shot a handgun. I would like to know more about revolvers because I do think some of them are really sweet guns. good poll BTW.

According to the reports that I have been reading the latest in .357Sig rounds have superior penetration, expansion, energy transfer, accuracy and just about everything else that you might want in a cartridge and I have been giving it a second look. They apparently also feed better, although I have never had an issue in that regard, due to the throttled neck.

well, i think the results of this poll will probably be pretty skewed, seeing as this is a glock forum. Also, some of the older folks that ccw but are less...computer-saavy, shall we say, are probably less likely to be on a gun forum than the younger kids who are more predisposed to autoloaders.

As to the poll, i don't carry yet, but i voted revolver because that is what i will carry as soon as i get my ccw.
i don't know about older folk, i'm 70 and i look at this forum all the time. I carry a k3at all of the time. It's just too small not to carry. Aside from that it's usually an old 1903 colt .32 that i love. It's a wonderful gun and conceals very well. Hail to the old folk.

Depends upon the situation.

G 26, S&W Model 36, or an AMT 380 Back Up stainless that I've had forever. It works fine, is small although heavier than some newer pistols like the Ruger LCP.

Fav is the G26.

How about "it depends" for a lame answer? The 27 is smaller and easier to conceal. The 30 has a larger ammo capacity (9+1 versus 10+1). However, ammo for the 30 is more expensive than the 27. From personal experience, I find the 30 easier to shoot accurately and I have no difficulty carrying it concealed.

I recommend finding a gun range where you can rent each, shoot a couple hundred rounds through each and buy the one that you are more comfortable with.

I carry a g27 in my pocket has anyone had any experience with pocket holsters? Also has anyone used the glock safety blocks?

Raven Concealment has a trigger holster for Glocks. It has a string, and pulls off the trigger when you draw.

I switch between this Ruger LCP and a J frame S&W depending on my mood.
