View Full Version : Range officer $$
Went to my locat armory yesterday and picked one of these up...really liked the feel of it..seems pretty well built. Anyway's the price was like $799 and I thought these were going to be more like a $650 gun? My local place usually is very competitive with online prices so I thought I would come here and see what ya all think..

Your place isn't very competitive. I paid $700 for mine. Saw one yesterday locally for $749.

I saw a bunch at a show in Va last weekend and they were $700 +/- $20.
I seem to always pay top dollar for guns, and so as not to break a trend, I paid $799 for my RO here in the Phx area. I thought it was a good value at that price and still do. Would have been even better for fifty bucks less, however.
$679 - $799 up in northern Ohio.
Im really not sure how some dealers are/were getting them at the prices they are. We shopped around at pretty much all of our distributors and going rate for one from us is also $799 and we are very competitively priced on all of our products. Unless dealers got them through their stocking dealer programs, Im not sure how their selling them for what they are. A few prices some have mentioned are cheaper than what we could even get them for!

I saw at least 8-10 at that price ($700ish) last week from different dealers.
Probably the lower priced dealers buy in bulk. The "1 of 500" RO's come with a 20 gun package dealers buy.

Thats what I thought, but only one dealer i spoke with is part of a buy group and he charges the same as us.

$750ish in Central OH
Where in central Ohio? I'm interested. I didn't see any at Vance's, and I generally don't go to new Albany unless it's to shoot.

699 before Christmas
725 now
Sure you get the lower priced one but the ones that are selling for more are the good ones, you know the ones with the adjustable sights already adjusted......pay the xtra $50 and save the wear and tear on your screwdriver.
Running $749 here....$799 for a "1 of 500."
Be happy you can get them. We can't get them up here in MA. We have to be content with S&W. Not that they are inferior guns, far from that, but it would be nice to be able to buy an STI, Ed Brown, Les Bear or NightHawk. I need to move to a free state. Enjoy your new 1911.

How much more would this gun retail for if it came with front strap checkering and adjustable sights? Closer to a thousand?

Checkering isn't a factory option, so you have to get it checkered, which is $200+ and then refinished, so another $200+, so now you are at the price of a Trophy Match.

These guns feel awesome in hand. If they had different sights I would have picked one up, no checkering and all.
