My wife picked up a used laptop that has vista on it
when she tries to do anything it always ask if your sure you want to do that.
is there a way to turn off that feature so it stop asking if your sure????

I recommend lowering the UAC, not disabling it...

Start button / type 'UAC' / Click on the link provided, and it should take you right to the GUI interface... Just lower it a peg to complete software installations, then turn it backup.

I have seen more viruses stopped by the UAC... disabling it is not the best idea!

That's from memory, but should work.

Indy is correct however my personal opinion I would recommend not turning it off.

I have seen more viruses stopped by the UAC... disabling it is not the best idea! :agree:
