here's some nice pics of the Harrison replacement rear sight.

As there are several threads on this issue, I'll create another to outline and follow the replacement of my SA adj sight on my P191342LP. I'll also outline and follow the replacement if the SA front sight with a gold or brass bead.. Let me put my disclaimer up front. I'm not a pistolsmit... but I know one... LOL

First off my SA adj sight was loose and not even a slip fit. It easily slid off.

The Harrison sight measures properly, but did require removing most of the blue finish on the bottom. some filing and a lot of Stone work. All in all, it took me about two hours to fit the sight using very minor hobby tools.

On reassembly the ejector was hitting the firing pin stop, so I had to refit the stop. Not a big deal, but it took me another hour.

So... The 15 minute job took me 3 hours, but that's ok as it turned out pretty nice.

The next step is th take it to the range Monday and see where it shoots. Then I can order a new gold/brass bead front sight of the correct height. I'll update the threads as progress is made. Heres a fe pics.. I think it looks better in all aspects than the adjustable... Ron'

Too bad it doesn't fill the whole thing up. This would drive me crazy.

Nice looking. It would have taken me much longer than 3 hours :)

Nice job.

Too bad it doesn't fill the whole thing up....

I agree,.......love the lines of the sight though, but they just do not flow together.

I've seen smoother lines on orthopedic lift shoes.

I've seen a couple of those sights in person.

They are a big hunk of metal that won't break. And they are very, very ugly.

I wonder how deep the notch is?

I tried a Harrison Retro rear and didn't like it because the rear notch was too deep, allowing (most of) the top of the slide to get into the sight picture. Very annoying.

personally, i'd still take adjustable sights over the Harrison.
