Hello, I am trying to figure this 1911 out. I just picked it up this weekend. I am wondering if its the "Loaded" model or do I have to call Springfield to figure it out?

It has Ambi safes its a Champion .45 Stainless 4"

Thank you for any info you might have about this!

It looks like a loaded model except for the mag well. The mag well looks like it's something extra that the privious owner add on to it. It also might be a main spring housing and mag well combo.

It's a Loaded with a S&A magwell.
It's also made in Brazil.

It's a Loaded model.

Looked like the prior owner did a little polishing to the whole pistol.

Loadeds are great. Never tried a 4" though.

I didn't know that they come with ramped barrels.
Looks like a good gun.

Mine didn't, and it's fairly new, but it's a 5".

Except for the aftermarket magwell, it is a loaded model. It appears to be one of the older squared grip models of the late 90's?

Lightweight Champions come with ramped bbls, and I've had my standard loaded champions converted and upgraded with ramped bbls.

LW Compact (CCOish size) have a ramped barrel as well :)

It appears to be a "loaded" model with some work done to it. In addition to the magwell, it seems to have had some dehorning done to it as well. I can see this show up on the edges of the slide and dust cover in your first pick, also around the ejection port near the breechface, and on the frame just above the front of the trigger guard. The edges seem to be broken down and smoothed out. You can also see it on the bottom edged of the slide serration. They have a bevel to them. Anyone else see what I'm talking about?

Edited to add: BTW I think it's a fine looking pistol.

Looks like my loaded, only shorter, absent fcs, but with ramped barrel and magwell. Plus dehorning, though I can only tell a difference on the trigger guard. Great gun!

Yup, I called SA to see, they confirmed it is a loaded.

Loadeds are great. Never tried a 4" though.

You should :wavey: I have one for you lol

SA Quoted the gun build in March 2005.
