RIA came out with a Railed 1911, .22 1911, and released a pistol chambered in .22 tcm their own cartridge that is a bottle neck design.

If you happen to be at SHOT, stop by the TechwearUSA booth and ask to take a peek at the new Carbon Fiber handguard for AR-15s. I've been working on the design, R&D and prototyping for about a year and it is finally headed into production!

Good deal Mark, I wish your endeavor success.
Did anybody hear the rumor that Bob Serva is buying Dan Wesson back?
:whistling:
This is prototype #4, but the production version looks the same. NO epoxy or glue, direct mount to a JP or Firebird barrel extension. The only one of its kind.

That calls the Sig P290 a .380, but Sig's website says it's 9mm.

Possibly the only thing cooler than a railed tacticool .22, is a railed tacticool .22 with a can.

^ GSG already makes a railed .22 1911, and you can add a silencer.

I have a GSG 1911 that I added metal parts like aluma grips and regular 1911 parts to bring up the weight to a standard 1911. I guess if you want to use a .22lr 1911 for manipulation training you may want it set up exactly like your duty/HD/carry gun. Adding a light for low light training on my 22lr 1911 would make sense since my HD gun is a Colt Rail Gun.

Not a fan of some of the feature choices on the original Remington R1, but the "enhanced" version looks rather nice, as long as it's around the same price as the DE.
if i had to guess, i would imagine the Enhanced R1 to be ~$749-$799 (street price)
Just noticed how ugly the safety is on it.
Guess I'm still shooting for the DE then.

What was the cost of your R1 mods?
Just under $150
$26 - thumb safety - EB
$31 - grip safety - EB
$19 - trigger - 10-8
$18 - GS jig - EB
$29 - hammer - Caspian
$25 - sear - EB
so that is why i'm thinking $749-$799. they would get parts for much less than i paid.

To be honest, I would rather have yours.....well, with a JH trigger instead, but those are about the same price as the 10-8. I don't dig the FO sight and the FCS on the "Enhanced R1". I think yours is perfect (trigger aside) and the only other thing I would do is drop a 10-8 rear on.
yep, i'm SO happy i did work on my R1. I have a 10-8 NM rear sight, but i think i might get the slide cut for the standard one.

Anyone see the Dan Wesson Open gun?? Looks like a Caspian frame with a beefier dust cover. Wonder if it takes the same magazines? Also, I think that is a little too much comp for today's IPSC (whimpy) power factors.

The Carbon Arms line has really taken off. Machine Gun Tours is stocking our uppers: http://machineguntours.com/carbon-arms-upper-mid-16in-1x8-ss-upper-899/ With a Cavalry Arms lower...5 pounds and 1//MOA. I've shot 3" groups at 500 yards.
Predator Tactical is building an entire AR around our handguards, Firebird Precision is using them as well.
looks good!!!
might have to swap out my Hogue handguard off my RRA Varmint for one of the carbon tubes.
