Both the slim versions. Going on a Colt Commander (LW), stock set are too big. Anyone had both? Preferences? Don't want to add any weight, going the right route? Any imput is welcomed, thanks...

I've got both slim Alumagrips and slim Larry Davidson grips. I can't tell any appreciable difference in the weight. It comes down to what you want, but in my experience you won't go wrong with either.

If you want bite get plastic, if you want smooth get the aluminium.

What he said. I use Larry's horned lizard grips on a couple of my commander sized pistols and they have the right amount of grip without being too abrasive for carrying next to your skin. They seemed pretty lightweight to me.

I've got both mounted and love them. For an IWB carry gun, I'd go with the Alumagrips. They have enough checkering for good grip, but feel smooth against your side.

Thanks guys, I went with Larry. He was great to deal with. I would highly recommend him. Now can't wait to get them on my commander!

I prefer Alumagrips out of the two.
