I thought I'd post this here among the friendlies (let's see how quickly the non gapers show up).

A lunch, I went to a gun shop and picked up the free 2010 Federal Premium Ammo catalog. Always interesting browsing. On page 37 they had some GAP stats (right next to that old ancient round that will not be named :whistling:).

I had always seen higher velocity and muzzle energy out of the GAP (even when the GAP is measured with a 4" barrel vs a 5" barrel of the hmmmmmm).

What I hadn't seen before is the bullet drop numbers. GAP also stays flatter out to 100 yrds.

Pat yourself on the back for picking a great round.

Thanks for posting, this is the type of info I was trying to talk about in a earlier post. However, when I go online to the catalog and scroll down to page 18 I look at the 230gr stats and don't see what you are speaking of. Could you please clarify where you saw this info?

Different catalog. The printed one I have has a picture of a water buffalo with a bird on it's head. The data though, appears to be on page 20 (Acrobat page) or page 36 (page number on the page). I compared 185gr because they were same profiles.
