Chicken stew loaded with garlic for you. And, I would have a shot of bourbon, for medical necessity.

In fact since red wine seems to inflame my sinus cavities I have gone to the shot of bourbon and I am doing better. I wonder if I will live to be as old as some I have known of who followed that remedy?

I like that term. Never heard it, but I might have to start using it since I don't consider myself a "wine snob" even though I can usually tell the year and alcohol content of red wines simply by sight rather than looking at the bottle.

I'm a big fan of red wine, especially a spicy red zin.

Looks like my employers are getting called now by my LAPD background investigator. This has been such an arduous process, I'm glad things are moving again.

Hopefully you all in the colder climates get healthy soon. I can't imagine getting sick now. It's too beautiful outside here to miss it.

Have you tried a mixture of whiskey, Honey and lemon juice. When my kids were small my daughter had pneumonia and developed a little croup after that, I gave her a teaspoonful of the mixture and she could sleep peacefully without all that coughing and wheezing. Her pediatrician said it was good for them.

They were not on my top list of retailers for business wear but I must admit, they have picked up in the last two years and I might go there for my next purchase after having tried a few other retailers.

A good suit is more than just buying the right color... you have to have a good tailor to finish it up. An average cost suit with good tailoring will look better than an expensive suit with bad or poor tailoring.

Heck, a poor tailoring job can ruin a suit to the point of making it unwearable.

Feeling better. I think in part it was due to lack of rest from the day before. My lungs were bothering me, in the middle of my sleep the day before. So, I wound up taking a hot toddy and one of my home remedies besides that to alleviate things and got a little more sleep.

Today, I took doxylamine succinate, a OTC sleeping pill that is more effective than Benadryl, along with phenyleprine. Slept pretty well today and feel better.

Other good news: Have a date on wednesday. Never met this girl before, I just know her from facebook and talking on the phone. She is the friend of a female friend. We will see, but I am definitely looking forward for that.

I am not as enthusiastic as I used to be. But, I do like to go the independent leagues baseball game a time or two during their season. They're fun to watch, and the crowd generally has a good time. Of course, they charge a pound of flesh for the eats and drinks, with the exception of the homemade lemonade stand. Very good prices for the lemonade, real fresh squeezed. That makes the game all the more enjoyable.

Okay, so I have a dilemma. I posted this on FB, so some of you all know this already, lol. I found a Kimber Pro Carry II Stainless on consignment at a local gun store for about $800. It's several years old, but appears to not have been fired since it left the factory. It's in immaculate shape, and fits my hand like a glove.

I've heard of all the issues with Kimbers lately, which kind of makes me hesitant, but I really like this gun. I have a special place in my heart for commander-sized 1911s, lol.

However, for about the same price, I can get a Spike's mid-length AR (within $10 of the same price), though I'd have to pay shipping and a transfer fee ($16).

So what say you? Kimber, the AR, or maybe something like a Springfield Loaded Champion in the same price range?

The one I had been with for 14 years went up by 59.00 per pay period, (bi weekly). I had to go to another insurance company, and am still trying to get things taken care of for complete transfer of everything concerning my medical. It happens. I went through at least five different wimminz where one of us decided it wouldn't work after the first date until I met who I'm with now.

On one of the dates I decided was a failure, she "showed" me her can of pepper spray on her key ring by pointing it a little too much in my direction-- right in the middle of a crowded restaurant. Then she says, "I got robbed once and it's NOT going to happen again." She almost got a face full of Glock for her trouble before I decided she was a bit more goofy that malicious.

I would even go so far as to say a pen pal type of thing, either by internet or by snail mail. You may be surprised as to where that may lead. It helps to be the kind of guy who doesn't mind settling down and having a family. There are women over here looking for that kind of thing.

It looks like the #1 department I want to work for is going to remain on a hiring freeze for the foreseeable future. I'm getting ready to start the process with another agency. Its not going to be typical patrol, but protection and security, with some patrol. (within the scope of their mission) Its still a sworn, uniformed LE position though. Not exactly what I want, but I've heard nothing but good about the department and "think" (hope) I have a good chance of getting hired.

too much vocabulary I dont really understand. No idea what net worth exactly means. Does it mean the average costs to live there is higher then in the rest of the country so the rest would call them rich?.

Talked to CJ couple of weeks via fb chat. We started to compare house prices in and around Vienna with those in the US. Probably true as to real estate in your country. I don't know about the rest of Austrian economy in comparison to California.

What people have a tendency to make in California people in lower economic areas actually crave to make, as they think those are extraordinary good salaries. Indeed in the area where I used to live, what I make now would go a lot further than even here where I am at presently.
