Help me out here. What do you think about the new M&P that is coming out. With an MSRP of $709, I may need to get into a tactical rifle.

One note;

Wether it is important to you or not, that model does not have a chromed bore. I also can't tell if that rear sight is removable if you want to mount optics.

I love my S&W M&P15T, but the list price they have on the S&W website is stunning. For another few hundred bucks, you could build a BCM with better quality, but I must say that rifle looks like a deal at that price.

Looks like nothing special. For $100-$200 more you can get something from Spikes or BCM that has better materials.

But for the price it's probably very decent.

From this shot, it looks like it's removable. This shot also shows no dust cover.

Couple other things I noticed. It says "1 in 8" twist 5R rifling" I did some googling on 5R.

But this really caught my eye; "Chrome-lined Gas Key and Bolt Carrier"

I know of Chrome-lined barrels, and chrome BCG, but what is a "Chrome-lined Gas Key and Bolt Carrier"?

That is a heck of a price, though. :supergrin:

No dust cover....

That would be an issue for me. Might not really mean anything for most people including myself, but I'd want one.
