the iver johnson light rail model looks good as does the remington r1 enhanced (if it had a rail it would be a winner!)

Yep. I'd buy as long as it's better quality than the RIA I had.

I have zero problems with the rollmark. For $600ish, I can live with it.

Hell, for that price, I'll cover the rollmark with JB Weld, and Duracote over it. :tongueout:

Looks like some cool stuff comming this year. I find the interest in .22 1911's quite intriguing.

But unfortunately, I am not finding the prices of the .22 1911s intriguing. I am, however, digging the .22 M&P for $365. My son would sh1t himself if I get him one.

The Colt .22 looks cool but the R1 grips could have won the ugliest dog competition.

Pretty poor showing for new 1911's this year. Out of all of those, the Remngton Enhanced R1 was the only one that even slightly raised my interest level.

I like Colt 22 (standard Government version) a lot.
Just hoping that it won't be any junk.

I gather a 9mm 1911 can be tricky sometimes, so if STI makes the Spartan 9 run like the .45 full size, the will not be able to make enough of them. I know that photo alone just caused me to re-plan my next 1911 purchase.

Looks like Dan Wesson is making a few different high caps on what appears to be Caspian frames. I wonder if they are buying them from Caspian or making their own? :dunno:

Eh, what are they going for, I haven't heard?

I found the .22 M&P interesting as well. I've had the itch for a .22 handgun for a while now.

Why???

It's just a Crusader Compact with larger serrations... or a RIA Tactical with checkered grips and lager serrations.

For $600ish... I'd buy a Crusader Compact with proper serrations and a less obtrusive billboard for $480ish.

No you won't if that "9" stands for 9mm. Because I don't think RIA or Hi-Standard (rebadged RIA) makes a 9mm Officer...yet.

It was amazing seeing Chen's work in the flesh. His FS treatment is something special for sure!!!! There were soo many 1911's their I couldnt believe my eyes!!! The only booth I didnt have any fun at was Ed Brown's. They had everything behind glass like we were at a gunshop. The only other people doing this were your full custom's like Heirloom and Chen. I spoke to them for a few minutes, but they didnt seem interested in speaking with me or anyone else that was around the booth. I did ask, Travis Brown, whom I assume to be the son of Ed, how many smith's the company had and he said 5. I was shocked!!! I know EB isnt huge, but i thought they were a little bigger than that.

The SA Custom shop boys were pretty cool. I spoke to a smith named Jason for awhile and he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and very open to doing a build for me in the near future. I was really impressed with their CCO and their build for the show that had no name. It was beautifully layed out and amazing attention to detail was evident.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I thought the "9" stood for 90 point font, since an inch is like... 72.

j/k, I'm dumb.

Well if it's a 1911 in 9x19mm, I doubt they'll sell any... who would buy that crap?

So it looks like the railed RIA has an adjustable rear sight like the TRP Operator and a longslide.
