Need some prayers for Hokie and family.

Not sure if many of you know, but yesterday afternoon Paul's mom passed away after a 5 month battle with pancreatic cancer. No details yet for the Memorial service.

The memorial service for Mrs. Scheffler will be Friday, Jan 28 at 3pm.

Paul is a great guy. He and his siblings need prayer at this time. It has been a tough time on all of them. Paul and his Mom were really close. I lost my Mom to cancer two years ago. I know what he has been and going through.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the posts, PMs, emails, and Facebook posts. Friday was the most difficult day of my life. I knew that day was coming for 5 months since the diagnosis, but nothing can prepare you for that moment. It was bittersweet. We were obviously crushed to lose her, but relieved as she was no longer in any pain and as a very strong Christian woman...we know she is with her Lord and Savior. I know she will always be with me and watching over us, and we will be together again. Thank you guys so much for all of the encouraging words, thoughts, and prayers over the last 5 months. You have no idea how much that means to me.

Had this done (pic is right after it was finished) a few months ago. She LOVED it. My kids (4&2) call it "maw maw's ribbon". It's a daily reminder of her.
