First time I saw the print on the top of the slide. Pretty tacky if you ask me. I mean what are you gonna do, put it in a display case? Whats the medallion made of, steel or aluminum and how is it attached?

They should of made it more subtle by shrinking the emblem and making it a small imprint in the side of the slide and take the writing off the top.

Hell they could of even done a limited edition "stainless silver" finish on the slide itself.

I'd trust my life to any model Glock...oh wait...I do!

No safe queens, nothing I collect - it's just not me - and I can't afford to do that
But if I was loaded I'd get one...beats an engraved 1911 in my book...but that's just me.

So you're saying that Glock owners in general lack IQ? Man that's rude. :whistling:

I have nothing against Glocks (heck, I own one too) as they are quite adequate for their intended purpose. I do not like however, the medallion on the one in the picture. Man, that really makes it look like a gumball machine prize. Methinks it would have been better in a dark grey or something other than the glaring light color.
I'm sure they'll sell though. There are those that just crave "different" no matter what it is, and that can be hard to find in the Glock line.

There are plenty of pictures on the net about other guns blowing up as well. Better it be a $500 Glock compared to a HK.

If one googles Glock KB.... you have numberous pics come up of different examples. H&K not so much. Either way, I'd prefer not to have one in EITHER platform as I like my hands.

The reasoning behind that is because Glock outsells HK probably 12:1. Most likely because of price. Now factor in price again, most people that shoot HK's can probably afford to buy factory ammo. Im not saying you are entirely wrong, but I think there is a little more you have to look at. I dont care for Glock's, but I PERSONALLY would rather have a Glock in a SHTF situation over a 1911. 1911's are indeed the only platform that intrigues me and can say that i actually like, but in my personal experience in side by side comparisons, 1911's have not held up to the same high round counts without cleanings and have not run well when not being properly cared for. Since Im not SF this is not a huge problem because i clean my guns after every range trip or match, but If I were I would be more comfortable with the plastic

SF as in Special Forces? As in the guys that DO carry 1911s? Isn't there a thread on the first page of this same forum about USMC Force Recon choosing a new 1911?

I must be confused, all those important guys must secretly carry Glocks...

Always loved this excuse, it always comes up, and it makes no sense. If this were true through the laws of chance and physics we'd be seeing 1911s doing the same due to the millions that have been made in the last century. So nope, try again, it's called unsupported barrels.

I dont care for Glock's, but I PERSONALLY would rather have a Glock in a SHTF situation over a 1911.

Good to know. Just curious though, did you ever wonder how the 1911 made it through all those real SHTF situations for nearly a century relative to apparentlyfailing in theoretical ones via internet heros?

1911's have not held up to the same high round counts without cleanings and have not run well when not being properly cared for.
