About how much does a new one run? My local shop has a used one that seems really high to me.

George has a base KC for just under $2,200 I believe.

Maybe it isn't as high as I thought then....

Crap, thought you said Kobra Carry. I had him price out a Kobra with the matching specs to my Kobra Carry and it was $2,125 shipped.

Stainless w/Gen3
Flush crowned barrel
Gen3 trigger
Gen3 bushing
10-8 rear

That price sounds about right on that GB listing....if it was new. Maybe a little high for a used one.

Yup, thats about the going rate in my area. And the Kobra is now my favorite. Its the duty gun.

That's about what I was thinking. What do you guys think that one is worth?

Depends on how much you trust "...I was told less than 200 rounds".

I'll go take a look at it this weekend. He's a pretty honest guy. If it's like new is it worth $1600?

What comes with a new Brown? Cardboard box? 4 mags? I'm thinking about working up a trade. I saw the gun today and it could pass as new.

Well that's what it has, I guess it's the whole thing then.

If he's willing to come down on the price or work out a trade, jump all over it.

He came down $100 so far but I'm going to take my Sig Blackwater down and see if we can work something out.

He wanted my gun and $1200, not a good deal for me. I did get my VMII in the mail so the day's not a total loss.

That sucks. Now if you had a Sig Xe model, maybe you would have some leverage.

Just cross out the Blackwater and write Xe. Your value should increase 20%.

Sadly, the value of the Sig Blackwater's kind of went the other way. A lot of people they thought they were going to be more of a collector item and increase in value after Blackwater changed their name. Sig is really who devalued the gun. They make so many "Limited run" models that they really hold no prestige to owning one because everyone knows the next year, Sig will have another. Personally, if the Kobra is the gun you want then make the trade, youll have the pistol you want.

I only wanted it if I was going to get a deal. The Sig is my least favorite of my 16 1911's. I couldn't get him below $1800 on the Brown and he'd only give $700 for my Sig. I can sell it outright for more than that, no big loss.

$1800 definately isn't much of a deal. Just keep your eyes open and you'll find a better deal on another one you like. I liked that nice Executive Target that sold on GB last week for $1600, that was a much better deal.
