What brand 1911 is it?

I curious too. It looks fairly normal, but it does look a little sharp.

Springfield 1911, about 1100 rounds.

I wish I had a jewelers loupe, might buy one anyway.

What does the slide look like at that corresponding point? This locking lug could be taking all the impact, and/or either the barrel or slide could be slightly off tolerance one with another at that point. Were they matched pieces?

My point is, consider the slide as well as the barrel, though it doesn't look that bad to me. Notice the chamber area has some similar marks.

Looks normal to me, but a 1911 expert will be better help than me!

Looks like normal wear and tear to me. At least nothing to be concerned with on that particular pistol.
