New models are up on the website
http://www.1911r1.com/products/firearms.aspx

the Enhanced is ~$250 more in MSRP than the basic R1.

It is me or does a large fiber optic front look odd with a Novak style rear? :dunno:

Quack,

Appreciate the heads up....I've been waiting. I guess I'm just one of those nimrods who bought an R1 and loved it, so now I want to complete the collection as long as it goes....Thanks again!

they should've left the FCS off the enhanced.

I'd rather have a regular R1, and use that extra $250 for my local Quacksmith to add a Brown GS, TS, hammer, 10-8 rear, and Harrison trigger. You can keep the bigass FO front site and FCS.

I don't think the enhanced model is for me. Seems like a strange blend of features, and especially the combination of the Novak rear with a high profile fiber optic front.

I do like the look of the centennial. That said, I think the $1250 msrp is rediculous for the minor changes from the R1.

I still like my R1. I think the basic model will remain the only Remington for me.

The trigger looks sloppy as hell. How's the trigger fitment on the standard model?

the trigger area is overcut. when i fit this trigger, i only took material off the bottom, where normally i would take some off the top and bottom.

I really like my standard R1. The finish on the casting could be nicer but for the price it was what I was looking for.

I am a little disappointed with the enhanced on the website. I guess Ill have to wait and it in person.

The Enhanced really does not look good at all with the FCS. Like someone else pointed out the FO FS does look weird on the website. The centennial actually looks real nicely done with the exception of those grips but is that price really justified?

You read right.

I don't mind cast frames. Its the cast slides that are a bad idea.
