I'm in the market for a 1911 and I messed up and went on the Ed Brown website and fell in love. Especially with the carry verisons. I think it's that little notch in the back or something. Anyways, I don't know which one to get. They all look good to me.
Which one do yinz like the most?

If I could get one, it would be a Kobra Carry with a naked Executive slide, and a bunch of other stuff, all in Gen III. Yum

Unlike everyone else, I prefer the SF carry to the Kobra carry model . Not only do I think it looks better, but EVERYONE has a Kobra Karry

None of the above as I prefer 5" guns. I'd consider a SF.

Right on. I went to John Curtis for a few years. Lived in Gretna, Harvey, and LaPlace before I moved to Ohio.

Haven't been back in a while. Went to J***Fest a few years ago to see Panic. That was the last time I've been down. Almost went to Nola for the SB but couldn't swing it. I still have a bunch of family in the area.

This is such a hard decision. If only I had money to buy them all. I like the 5" ones too but I want to get a carry one.

Once I throw my HelloKitty grips on it, you won't even notice the trigger.

 The only way for me to get a Brown would be to sell my Harley, and there's no way in hell I'm selling that! :tongueout:
i wish I had experience with all the guns, but I don't.
i have the ss exec carry and i can tell you: unbelievable and awesome
no bad decision here can possible be made
the exec carry is a top shelf shooter, accurate, easy to carry, the bob tail is effective and not just for show.
I want me next EB to be the executive elite centennial edition (without the gingerbread) don't have the money, but I'm trying to figure it out.
edit: the gun was worth every penny i spent on it
ive only had mine for a week, and its the only eb i own. i picked the executive carry.

Exec carry for me.
I like simple clean lines, but the kobra carry is pretty freakin' sweet. One of these will probably be my next gun.....unless i pull the trigger on an infinity:whistling:

Same here. When I finally get a Brown, it'll be a Stainless SF Carry with the bobtail of course.

I really like my executive carry. The bobtail is really nice . The only bad part is when my girlfriend found that the bobtail allowed her to carry without hitting her ribs or hip bone, so now I have to look my my gun once in a while. I guess ed will make me another one.

George has a gorgeous EC on his site now. Naked slide, flush crowned, recessed slidestop, VZs.

I really want an Ed Brown myself. I am torn between the radical looks of the Kobra and the simple beauty of the Executive. I think the Special Forces kind of combines elements of both.

I may have to check it out
I'm pretty fond of my Kobra Carry. It's scary accurate and consistently groups better than my Dan Wesson Valor.

Yeah, that sure is purty.
I would choose an Executive Carry, simply for the serrations and checkering opposed to the snakeskin or chainlink.
Although, I would probably deal with the snakeskin in order to have a LW Kobra Carry.

Nice!! Now you can stare at your girlfriend and your EB at the same time. That's a good deal.

Definitely the Kobra Carry for me. The aspect I'm most impressed with in a Brown is the aesthetics, and nothing says EB like a Kobra Carry - the bobtail originator, the snakeskin, it just stands alone as the prototypical Ed Brown for me.
