Yeah that rollmark is ugly as hell. The rest is really nice though. Someone on TOS ownes it and posted some pics. here is the other side.

I like the look of the all stainless, but like everyone else said, banner is huge!!!

I would have loved it if it would have just been the standard size cursive. Or naked slide with the Wilson Combat in cursive on the frame

Oh Lord I just saw the other side.......now that is way overboard IMO. Heck of a nice gun but the roll marks are......a bit much.

I dont love it, but dont get me wrong for one second! You could gladly give me that and I would represent it well and be more than happy to shoot the crap out of it.

After all, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the customer is super happy with it. Thats all that matters in the end. He obviously wanted a big logo. If he would have listened to others and tailored his order to make others happy he might not have enjoyed it as much.

I know Wilson is not suppose to be a full custom 1911 builder from what some have said, but they seem to do anything you want ? With changes in parts and design changes in lots of ways, pretty impressive

I have been thinking, I probably won't ever get a full custom, I don't think they can do anything better than WC, but that is a very naive statement.

Yeah, Wilson will do more customizing than the rest of the semi-custom shops.

Looks well done. I don't mind the large font. Of course I have a Colt ORM so I came to peace with large font on guns a long time ago. I guess Ol' Slabsides makes it too tempting to write as big as possible on it. Besides what's the point of getting a high end "name" gun when you can't show it off at the range? It's king of like buying a Jag and then taking the hood ornament off. Or a Benz and taking the badge off the front grill.
