Waffle mags AKA Circle 10 mags are the closest thing to a pmag in the AK world, they are lighter than steel mags but are still durable and feed well. In the AK world they are often thought to be one of the best mags you can buy, $10 surplus com bloc mags are also well thought of though. Just avoid anything made in the US or commercial export mags (plastic ones without the waffle texture).

I ordered a "Bulgarian" 40 round mag online but it didnt have any waffle texture. Its smooth on the outside but it works fine so far. It has steel reinforcememt around the feed lips.

What the heck did i get?

I only see these for the AK74's and not waffle magazines.

Are these steel lined? What are the best AK74 magazines? I have some now that are bulgarian used that say 21 on them currently.

I don't know where you are looking and/or what you are doing but the link I provided has Waffle Mags per the OP's request and there's a thread on the first page here discussing the best AK mags.

AK-47: Bulgarian Waffle Mags are excellent mags, steel mags are are also very functional as well.

AK-74: There are several quality polymer-type mags available on the US market for very cheap. Take advantage!

Copes dist. almost always has the 30 and 40 round Circle 10 mags in stock. About $25 for 30-rounders

Hey thnx didnt know Pmags came blocked.but they need to be in 762x39

I buy steel mags from aimsurplus and have been very pleased. I have some circle 10 mags but prefer steel especially for the price.
