The only rule is you can't list one you have ordered and waiting on.

Mine:
Fusion Frame, Slide, and Barrel. For an officer's size 10mm, and me build it Hopefully.

or
Chiappa .22/RIA 9mm tactical beater and range gun.

I'm waiting on a new Baer Comanche Custom Carry that is going to be hard hatted and a few other things before arriving at my door. I'm also waiting on two Coonan's, one of which will be customized, the other will remain stock. Past these three, I haven't decided yet. Maybe a super duper space age ray gun.

Very true. At least he will do no FCS on some models and I saw a guy on 1911 Forum, who just got a new TRS that not only didn't have any FCS, but had a naked slide. Good looking clean gun. I agree that is doesn't make sense for a financial point, but I can see a good reason against them.

If you damage the crown of barrel that hasn't been cut flush there might be enough material left to work with. Once it's cut flush, you're most likely SOL if anything happens.

I know the flush cutting/dished crown can help protect, but **** happens. A simple fix could turn into a entire new barrel. I talked with Dave at SA and he talked me out of it on one of mine for the above reason.

On a side note, I've seen SRP's without FCS's...strange. In fact, I know John at Proload had some when I bought my TRS.

You mean a stay-at-home dad with 3 kids and no money to blow on semi-customs? Or you are hoping Mrs 20South doesn't remove your nuts like Mrs Hokie did mine?

I would prefer to keep my nuts off the rearview mirror in Mrs. 20's car!

something about that just really catches my eye. I have no idea why though.

Yeah, me too. Simply gorgeous.

Paul if you get that I am going to have to make a trip to Ohio to shoot it. I would love to have that.

Ha, it may be a year or so...

Very nice and may be one of your best...

Actually I bought an O1918 today nib

On the custom note, I'm on John Harrison's list and will either be sending my original series 70 or my yet to be found 1966 Commercial.

Nooo. I'll never buy a 1911 in a different caliber.

Barrel lengths will always be between 4 and 5 inches. Grips will be full size.

:tongueout:

I do own a plethora of calibers in non-1911s though.

That's a shame. a 9mm 1911 is by far the coolest gun to shoot, hands down. Cheap and fast follow up shots.

The only rule is you can't list one you have ordered and waiting on.

Mine:
Fusion Frame, Slide, and Barrel. For an officer's size 10mm, and me build it Hopefully.

.

I just bought a Fusion Scout for my Dad and have been building it for the last couple weeks. I'm having a blast. I'll get pics up when I'm done. It's gonna be da hawtness tho!

Not sure what my next will be! I could go on and on with builds cause i want so many guns!!!
I'd really like to get a bobtail or semi custom FS 9mm. My first purchase of the next calendar year for WC is definitely going to be a X TAC. After seeing it in person, I am disappointed I didnt get one even though i know ill love my CQB

You can't get an SRP without FCS? :faint:

When I called Baer, the sales woman switched me over to a gunsmith. He said "No." :dunno:

Baer should remove the word "Custom" from their company name if they can't figure out how to skip a machining step.

I find this extremely hard to believe. Suggest you call CJ to verify.

Baer does offer the SRP without FCS's, I'll almost guarantee it. I've seen more than one and John at Proload had several in-stock when I was ready to order my TRS in 2010.

There's a guy in the classifieds here who sells Baers frequently, 1*45, and he had one for sale a while back.

everynow and then you post a older styled 1911 and i say "thats the most beautiful 1911 he owns". well, now i've said it again. what would that run me on a new 70 series?

don't bother. i just looked it up. holy crap. maybe i could go piecemeal. i'm not interested in paying 500 for a 1.5in group or a 2pd trigger. but the asthetics are just what i want. love it.

I am kind of old fashioned in that I love the good ol' Colts.

The next 1911 I'll prolly buy is either the:

Colt 9mm Defender
Colt Delta Elite (preferably Blue)

Both of these are a blast to shoot IMO!
