So I am getting my new trigger and MSH in the mail. I will be installing them myself or atleast I am attempting, I am pretty mechanically inclined at least I have done many things with trucks mine/friends/cousins. So what are tools that I will need besides a brass punch and brass/rubber mallet/hammer?

sharpie marker, a file, 400 grit sandpaper and a flat surface.

a file that works well is a swiss made chainsaw file that you can get from Lowes.

use the 400grit to polish where you filed. i actually stones for polishing though

The punches are important in a couple of sizes for the pins in a 1911.
For the trigger a very fine file and a good assortment of sandpaper starting at 400 to 1000g.
Take your time fitting the trigger as you want it to be where it does not leave a noticable gap at the top and bottom of the shoe. (Where your finger presses)
It should also be able to fall out of the frame under it's own weight and yet not be sloppy.
Easy to do if you take your time.

What size punches? And are punches necessary for the trigger or just the MSH?

No punches needed.

But they could be useful. I just use a glock tool/punch.

Alright have to go look at Lowe's. Even if I mess the trigger up I only paid like 15 for it and the polymer MSH
