Me? Yup, and a bad one, too. Ever since I made the "mistake" of customizing my SA Mil-Spec and being encouraged by Wayne Novak I just can't seem to leave a 1911 as it comes from the factory. Its always a new trigger, sights, grips, something.

How about you?

Most of mine are bone stock, to be honest.

If I had as many high end 1911's choose from as you I probably wouldn't be a tweaker either!

all my guns get flat triggers (duh!!!).
Novak cut sights get replaced with 10-8 rear's.
Adjustable rear sights get Dawson F/O front sights.
Carry guns get the ambi swapped out for an Ed Brown single.

I can't leave anything alone. They all get modified sooner or later; cars, bikes, guns...

I've never had a 1911 that I didn't "tweak" something on it.
I just cannot leave them completely stock out of the box.
I've never really had a top of the line 1911 though, so that might be the difference.

I once kept my guns stock. ARs, Glocks, and 1911s have too many accessories and I like to try different 'options'.

I'm glad I'm not a woman... I'd have so many purses and jewelry  and guns with rhinestones :whistling:.

My big thing is grips! I prefer an agressive grip so I go with VZ's or Gunner's. My WC and NH are getting the Gunner's installed when they get here.

I'm not into the flat triggers but why is the lower left still curved and short?

I had a stock gun customized once long ago. More recently I took a stock Colt 1991A1 and set it up for duty the way I wanted. Ambi safety, MSH, rear sight, hammer, sear, GS. I took the FLGR out of my XSE and replaced it with GI parts. Other than that or grips, which I don't count, everything stays the same.

Quack, would it not be more cost effective to have a doctor make your finger round? Those triggers must add up. Or are the flat ones factory seconds ?

I knew it was something like that. Must be painful for you. My issue is that my muscles are unable to carry a 1911 without making it lighter just a bit helps. I usually drill a few holes in the trigger. Then I am good to go.:dunno:
