With many people going wireless with peripherals such as Mouse and Keyboard, I have seen many times with Windows where someone complains that their mouse keeps disconnecting, keyboard disconnects, etc...
Since three people this week have asked the same question, I thought I would pro-actively create a thread for anyone else who may be dealing with this same issue.
For Windows 7:
Go to Start--> right click COMPUTER --> select MANAGE --> select DEVICE MANAGER --> expand the BLUETOOTH RADIOS tree --> right click the BLUETOOTH RADIO that you are using, not the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.
Select PROPERTIES of the BLUETOOTH DEVICE and look for a Power Management tab.
UNCHECK the box labeled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

This should clear up your issue.
I hope this helps others.
