Was about to buy a Rock Island nickel for $489 but got a new Remington R1 instead. Cleaned, shot 50 rounds of wwb 230 grain. No problems
It has a flat mainspring housing
Nice metal finish and beautiful grips-walnut double diamond
Series 80 type and has loaded chamber peep hole (purists won't like probably)
Little bit of trigger creep but for $599 at Sportsmans whse it seems like a good deal. I would have had to buy grips for the Rock Island.
Came in a nice green case with 2 7 round mags. Will need to get some 8 round I guess.
congrats on your purchase!
Get the Chip McCormick Power 10's. They hold 10 rounds or Wilson has a 10 rounder as well.
good stuff and accurate too...

There was a few in shops around me, but they seem to have dried up for the winter. :dunno:
