I started stripping my ria tactical tonight and all was going smooth until I got to the safety (ambi) and following the manaul i am spos to twist and pull on the right side of the safety but I'm not having any luck what I am doing wrong:dunno::dunno:

I use the corner of a credit card to wriggle underneath it and pry it up an out if it's being a bit sticky....don't wriggle it back and forth too much, the tongue and groove on the pin that links the two sides together can be fragile. Try to lift it straight up as much as possible
IIRC, the tactical TS is like the Kimber.
remove the left side first, then the right side should lift up off the grooved sear pin.
the bigger question is why you were taking the safety out? unless to replace a frame mounted part, there is no reaon to go beyond field strip on a 1911 for routine care.

I got it apart today it took a pair of pliers and a cloth to get that thing out Thanks for the help
