Sorry for 2 threads in one day, but I am hyped up and ready to spend some Ben Franklins. I am about a day or 2 away from calling George and putting in an order on a Pro. There's no turning back after I place the order, so I want to be 110% sure of it. I am going to take Quack's comment about once you go custom you can't go back to production guns comment and just go all out for my first 1911. I am interested in seeing pictures and hearing comments on the high end 1911s that YOU own. The Professional is in the driver's seat right now, but I may see a picture of a gun that is even more awe inspiring to me than the Pro. Sorry for the 2nd thread in the same day, but I am amped up here. The more pictures and commentary you guys can provide, the more secure I will be on handing over several thousand dollars of my hard earned cash. :)

I really like my NH Enforcer lately, so I may put it at number one.

Thanks guys. I dealt directly with NHC on it's build. Lots of changes from the regular Talon II, incorporating some of the Heine model features. Chain link checkering, Striaght-8 sights, back of then slide serrated like the sight instead of checkered, spare tuned serrated extractor, barrel recessed and crowned, no "Talon II" on slide. Wilson 47D black low profile pad mags.

It might be 50% now :dunno: I know my FFL charged me 50% to order but SA only required 30% IIRC.

My email from George was last September, couldn't hurt to ask him. At least you could get the ball rolling.

That's sounds about right. That's what most shops charge. I know Nighthawk does.

Strangly enough, Infinity only asks for a grand to build you a full house custom. They build some of the best available anywhere at any price.

Don, you need one. Its only a grand to get your build started.

There is some truth to that, it depends on the builder though. I know Baer is 50%, SA was $1000...not sure about the rest.

I ordered my NH Enforcer from George and I only put $100 down...go figure.
