Just wondering what manufacturer provides the best warranty - feel free to talk about any company - but I am more interested in the "mainstream" companies that sell the bulk of their guns for less than $1,500.

Don't care what their web site says - because most seem to say - bla bla bla lifetime to original purchaser bla bla bla

I am looking more for some real life experience -where they took care of the problem - or did not solve it even after more than 1 try.

Springfield will pay shipping both ways and not charge you for things that is the guns fault and not a redneck with a dremel.

Also springfield says they only cover original purchaser, but I bought mine used and they didn't ask or care.

Springfield, STI, Wilson, NH....

Ive had to deal with Kimber, Taurus, Brown, and Smith for customers and they were extremely difficult to deal with! They all wanted to shift the blame from lack of quality on their end and sight unseen shift the blame to the customer.

In my experience Para was absolutely terrible in every way possible; Kimber was easy to deal with, fixed the problem and in a timely manner, and paid shipping.

Unfortunately, this has been true for me :steamed: I've sent one pistol in twice but they haven't got it to 100%. I hope my recent RMA comes back so I can actually use it.

I'd rate the companies as

1. SA, Wilson - Tie, Wilson repair something I screwed up, free of cost.
2. Nighthawk - Haven't had to use them, so that's the best warranty.

3. Everyone else.

Smith and Wesson. I called them about a feeding problem, and had a pre-paid shipping label in my mailbox in a couple days. Had the gun arrive back a few weeks later. Relatively fast, and didn't cost me a dime.

For the downside, it still doesn't feed 100%. Hopefully the return process is the same, but with a better result on the second try. :whistling:
