Hihihi,
g
So I have the Mossberg 930 SPX and I'm wondering if there is a way to mount a single point sling attachment? I mean not Exactly like an AR rear plate mount but LIKE that, in that I'd like to find something I can use?

Basically I have fallen in love with my Magpul MS2 sling -- it's really awesome for my use. I'm not sure if it would work for hard charging tactical users or real operators etc. but for me it's perfect , and also : When I bought it, the interwebz were out of stock of the ASAP Plate. So I *really* wanted to order all my stuff for my new Bushmaster at the same time, as I was getting a good price to order everything and I needed something to attack my new MS2 to. The gent at DSG Arms suggested the CQD Rear Sling Mount... And I figured WTF, not like I know any better or have the choice I want or any other choice at this/that point. So I went with it and it's pretty damn good for me. It has two [top and bottom] attachment circles on the left side [for right hand use] and a single one on the right side [presumably for left hand users] - and I love love my MS2 Sling. I had never used a single point sling before and knew I wanted one for the XM15 I was getting and I knew I loved Magpul and it had good reviews and I saw some good videos...it was a great idea,!!! And it also allows quick switching to two point sling for storing across the bag etc.

I'd LOVE To be able to have this similar system for the 930 SPX. Now I'd probably get a separate Magpul sling for the shotgun just so I had separate systems for well, separate systems! But it'd be more than nice , it would be downright practical while being tactical, to be able to don a single sling, and then be able to remove, add, switch from one to another, weapon system...Pick up the AR, drop it in single point mode in front, then quickly detach, attach the shotgun say, use it in single point mode? but go back again... Something that looks good. If not what are you 930 SPX users using for sling mounts?

Thanks thanks!

Here is another one, but I admit I don't know anything about them.

I'm using a Gear Sector FSA on the rear and a DD QD button rail mount on the front. Previously I used a Vang 870/1187 forward sling plate which is basically the same as the GG&G front mount in the link above. I've also used a rail mounted sling loop and a Gear Sector QD rail mount.

the newer 930 SPX's have the sling stud mounted underneath the stock and forearm as originally equipped from the factory now. It's basically a cylinder with a hole thru the side, threaded into the stock and forearm.
Does anyone use these, and if so what attachment has worked for you? pics?

As much as I love single point slings on AR15's...my nuts really appreciate that I dont use on on my shotgun lol.

I like a 2 point sling on my shotgun. I might consider a 3 point though?

Yeah I guess a single point would hit nuts? I didn't really consider the low swing down. What's up with a 3 point sling?

If you would like cheap, easy yet still secure... pick up a swivel sling stud & QR sling swivel like below... the stud is VERY easy to install with a just a hand drill...
