I have a G23 and G27 with stock plastic sights. Does anyone know the width of the front sight and the width of the notch in the rear sight?

I don't have a pair of calipers and I found varying answers in a search. Some people say the rear sight notch is .140, some say .156. The front sight also came up with answers from .150 to .165.

The main thing I want to know is the difference in width between the two. As it is, the front sight pretty much fills the whole notch and I'd like a to get some Ameriglo's with a little more space on either side of the front sight for quicker sight alignment.

The G17,19,22,24,26,33,34,35,37,38, and 39 all share the same plastic fixed sights as far as I know.

Here are my notes on the different sights. They were taken at different times but with the same dial caliper. I have used the Trijicon & Ameriglo with the .140 and they seem a little thinner in the front (than the factory Glock sights) and work pretty good. I use the .125 Ameriglo's now on all my guns but honestly I would be happy with either the .140 or .125. YMMV
