So sometime, when Springfield has some in,im going to be getting two stainless TRPs,one for each side. But im still trying to figure out how to carry spare mags.Weak (left) side pocket carry is the only thing i can think of.Any other suggestions? I'd like to carry two spares,if halfway comfortable.
practice whichever you're comfortable with.
For me. It's on my supporting side, at 3:30 position (i'm a lefty, so I carry on my right hip). My rounds actually face to the rear, since I like to grab my mag like a beer can.

You're going to carry 2 TRPs at once? :headscratch:
what about wearing a double mag carrier in the 10-2 area? won't be the most comfortable, but it would work....

Dual carry that....then I will be impressed.
You could always velcro the spare mags to the new back brace you are going to need.....

I carry my spare mag at 8:30 in a Occidential Leather (really conceals excellent) or a Blackhawk mag carrier.

You think the mags would poke up too far for s.o.b. carry?

For 2 spare magazines on the belt I use this
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ItemDetail.aspx?sku=LEG-533
Its on back-order right now but its a very high quality pouch that sits close to the body. I guarantee that any leather double mag pouch costing twice the price or more is not made any better.
For pocket carry I use this
http://www.desantisholster.com/store/SEARCH-BY-GUN-MANUFACTURER/COLT/GOVERNMENT-MODEL-45cal/ACCESSORIES/Mag-Packer
I always use the belt pouch unless I can only use the pocket carrier, which is why I have both. Its better to have options which is why I have a P238 for pocket carry when I absolutely can't carry IWB.

I often carry two mags on weak side 3-4 O'clock in IHL pouches sold by Dillon. That's about where I carry for USPSA so it seems very natural and comfortable to me.

There was an older gentleman (appx. 60 years old) in the gun store yesterday (familiar face, I don't know him but I've seen him before)...he was carrying two 1911's...crossdraw.
He was well armed...he had a spare mag on each side (appx. 11 and 1 o'clock), in horizontal mag carriers.
2 x 5" 1911s for concealed carry, hmmmm I guess I could pull off 2 x 3" 1911s. Does that make me less manly?
If you are carrying a second gun that is identical to your primary aren't you already carrying a reload?

Haven't you watched Yosemite Sam in action

Why in the hell are you going to carry two bricks on your hip and then spare ammo? If I lived in your neck of the woods and felt I needed two 1911's...I'd move. Unless you're some uber mall security with MLRS launchers mounted to the roof of your golf cart and have to protect innocent mall go-ers from the evil chang dynasty mafia...

Because i never liked little guns.If i dont like the way a gun looks or feels,im not going to spend my hard earned money on it.

I don't think he said he is going to be carrying "two bricks."

My reference was to the weight of each firearm. They're heavy...period. At 39oz unloaded they are bricks. And to carry one on each hip is going to be a PITA. Do what you want as it's your money. Have fun concealing them and holding all that **** on your belt

I dont believe i have ever seen that.Pretty nice.
I think ive got it figured out.I found a couple companies that make a twin behind-the-back holster, then i can have spare mags left side and my fixed blade on the right. If i can sit down like that.If not, then i guess i can throw a couple magazines in my pocket.Make fun of me all you want...

Spend any time in Mjolnir armor and you know how much fun dual-wielding can be.
