Just thought I'd share. I saw an ad pinned up at the gun range last night after leaving my monthly pin shoot competition. Guy was selling a Massachusetts compliant P239 9mm in state, so I decided to give him a call to inquire. He said it was in excellent condition, comes with all factory items, 2 mags, comp-tac fitted holster, hogue rubber wrap around grips, stainless steel guide rod, and 100 rounds of WWB ammo for $400!

For that price, I assume the "excellent condition" firearm he was referring to wasn't so "excellent". Sure enough when I drive there to see it, the thing looks like it just came out of the box.

I am very excited about this P239, I think for what I got (accessories and ammo included) I got a killer deal on a fine Sig. I'll be hanging onto this for a while. Like I said I'm excited and I just thought I'd share. http://sigforum.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Pics to come this weekend.

Congrats!

The 239 is incredibly accurate for a small pistol.

Thanks! This is my second P239, and I felt in love with it all over again.

By the way, "but" or "butt" and "where" or "ware" or "wear" would fit in your signature too.

Took it to the range yesterday and put a few rounds through it. I shoot it better than my P229 E2. :wow:

I didn't do quite so good but good enough for finding it in my local Gun store... I was pleased as something like this would normally be marked $600 at any gun store.

I ran into this one today for $450 with original the case and all case candy and two mags.

Looks almost new. Older one with 5 digit serial number and in the older style Grey case.

Shoots great.

Crappy phone cam picture of it... for now.

Nice find. $450 certainly isn't a bad price either for a sweet little Sig.

Congrats!

Yea. for a Gun Store particularly. Funny thing was that one with night sights sat right next to it, with a darker bore but also in nice condition otherwise and they wanted $650 for that one. I don't think the sights were worth $200 to me.

Have you found any place that's selling Wood grips for the 239 yet? Not finding a lot of options out there right now.

wood grips look nice, but I see alot of people putting the hogue on them... I got my 239 last week, and dying to shoot it.... hopefully today, everytime I want to go shooting its nasty and windy...

I could have got a new 239 with reg sights for 559 but got the night sights for 609, didnt think 50 bucks diff was bad....

It cracks me up what some want for used guns... can get new for few bucks more... I see all the time on the forums, people selling glocks and want like 450 and 475 plus shipping.. Heck the shop here sells them for 499 new.. to me I need to save more than 25-50 bucks for a used gun... I have even seen many selling them for the same price or more than what u can get new.

Got mine today...but paid $775 OTD new from local shop. They had a used one for $580 or something, but I decided new on this one. Still love this damn thing though. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Picked it up for an EDC.

Nice James!

Have you tried the Hogue rubber wrap around grips? I have them on mine and they just melt in my hand. Extremely comfortable to hold and especially to shoot. It somehow makes the recoil seem less too - don't ask me how but I can just feel a difference.

I am impressed with the ease of dis-assembly on these things. Glock like but yet easier.

Old models are new agian! The standard in a reliable very good shooting compact. I carry mine in a Galco summer comfort. It carrys better than the G19 which is thicker and heavy in the butt. The g19 allways wants to back out of the IWB holster being butt heavy. Allso the 239 is thinner and shoots way more accurate. You can,t go wrong with the 239! Mine is 9mm and 9 shots is plenty in a easy to carry and shoot package. Got Sig???

Took it to the range yesterday and put a few rounds through it. I shoot it better than my P229 E2.

I had the oppurtunity to do a side-by-side shoot/compare of my E2 with a rental 239. I was surprised the E2 doesn't really weigh much more (of course the loaded mags do considering they have almost twice the capacity). I was really interested in comparing the triggers since the E2 has such a short, light SA mode with the SRT trigger. The 239 seemed slightly lighter and just slightly longer in SA mode. The DA mode of the 239 had a little "bump" about halfway through the pull. Of course it is a rental and who knows how beat up it is. The slide was very loose and rattled around.

I have finally somewhat mastered the DA/SA trigger on the E2. It's really sweet once you get the hang of it. I don't even like shooting my Glocks now. I can shoot the E2 in DA mode better than I can my Glock 19! SIG makes some great guns, no doubt.

The 239 packs way better than my G26-g19 iwb. I shoot it better than the Glock 9mm,s too. It has a balance and heft that make feel right for me. I like this auto very much and next to my SW642 it gets the most carry time. It don,t dig into me like the Glocks do and it shoots way more accurate.
