Did a little searching and couldnt find a thread like this. The 9mm carbine thread got me wanting more pistol caliber carbine pics. AR conversions, pistol conversions, SBRs, AOWs, anything in a pistol caliber with a shoulder stock!

I always loved the kel-tec sub2000, it's on my shopping list.

(not mine, just love it)

This is the only thing I've got that fits into the PCC category; a Winchester 94 Trapper in .44 Mag/Spl.

I've always liked the Beretta Storm, think it looks really futuristic. I did have an Uzi Carbine, nice gun, especially with the fold up stock.
I've also always liked the idea of being able to feed my pistol and a long gun with the same ammo, that way you can stock up and fire two guns with out of the same ammo box. It's also nice if you can get a carbine that'll take the same mags as the pistol.
Does Beretta make a Storm that'll take G17 mags?

I've never seen one of those in person.......

Every time I see a pic of one, it leaves me scratching my head.

I can't even figure out how you place your hands on it.

To me, it looks awkward and clumsy......

I have one in .45 has not missed a beat yet. Fired about 300 fmj through it and about 150 XTP hp through it. Called highpoint and ordered the reddot site. Sited the carbine in a 10yrd for home defense. I would never buy a Highpoint handgun, but I own a carbine when they first came out in 9mm. Just couldn't pass up the .45, fun to shoot also.

Old habits die hard...

http://vickerstactical.com/about-larry-vickers-2/about-larry-vickers/

.....or habits that never existed in the first place!

I'm not saying everything is on the level, or not......but, I've been around soldiers, past and present, through the VFW and AL. I've heard every kind of story you could imagine, but one thing seems to hold true.......those who brag are the least likely to be the ones who are the "real thing". Anyone who starts his message with the following:

"I have been very fortunate to have had the distinction of serving my country with some of the most elite military units to ever exist."

......is throwing up a red flag that he's trying to convince you of his credentials. Those who have "been there, done that" don't make spectacles of themselves, and don't really care about telling you all about how great they are.

To me, it looks like he's nothing but a wannabe......but, who knows? I'm just saying that I've got my doubts, but everyone ought to make their own conclusions, based on their own judgements and perceptions of things......

No, there's nothing wrong with talking about your combat record, but if you check out his site, the description goes much further than just stating it......It's a cavalcade of self promotion, and much of the highlights are hidden in intelligence secret (convenient) which is only available years after the fact......by someone else trying to sell a book!.......and, he pumps all this up to sell his own products, nonetheless!

I can't say, and never did say he is a fraud, but he is presenting himself very suspiciously and similarly to a few that have been frauds......not to mention that everything would have to be believed on "trust".

I'm not going to get into a silly internet debate with you, Hog. Your post stated that you're suspicious of this guy due to a video and posting you saw from his website.

My statement is based on what I know personally......which is quite a bit more than that. Believe me, don't believe me, its up to you.

Jeebus, maybe you should do a little bit of reading before making a complete ass out of yourself. Larry Vickers honorably served for over 20 years with the most elite Special Forces units. He was one of the 23 Delta Force members participating in operation Acid Gambit, liberating CIA operative Kurt Muse from Modelo prison in Panama. This guy is the real deal, a true hero and has seen more action than you could dream about. Playing army? He IS one of the best our army ever offered. He also happens to be one of the founding members of IDPA. You feel like a moron yet? You should.

OK, I'll take your word for it, but I just watched the video below, and it still looks awkward and clumsy to me......when compared to something else like an AR, or AK.

That Larry Vickers guy reminds me of a mall ninja type......but he is into "playing army".

I guess that's beside the point, though. Thanks for the link, because it did give me an opportunity to see the P90 being used. I still feel the same.....awkward and clumsy......but, about 50lbs less fat on Larry Vickers might have made him a little more agile looking........!

TRaGik,
Is that an EMF JR Carbine? I'd love to get one from what I've seen (which isn't much) please share experiences with it. Have you shot it yet? Any jams?? What cal. did you get? I'd pickup a 9mm so I could pair it with my 17 and 26 (plus I'd grab a few 33rd. mags). Congrats on the new toy! --Rob

It is a JR Carbine in 9mm. Picked up a couple 33 rounders for it already, but want to get a few more.

I picked it up to pair it with my G17 and G19.

I've only put 50 rounds through it, and it functioned perfectly.

I'll probably put a few hundred rounds through it this weekend. Once I do, I'll post up an official review and PM you a link to it.

You should.

That is true - even though I disagree with Vickers about many things, he's the real deal.

You guys seen the new hi-point stocks?

They used to look like this

http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/images/civil/civ005/hi-point995-2.jpg

Then they went to this;

http://www.kingdomarms.com/store/images/_products/HiPoint995TScarbine.gif

Hear alot about how well they shoot. Anyone got one?

Yes. They are very good shooters and dead nuts reliable, need almost no maintenance. I can't for the life of me figure out why they took the ugliest gun in the world and redesigned the entire stock to almost exactly the same thing. Now they have the 2nd ugliest gun in the world. If you want one I suggest buying an older used one and getting this http://www.milsurpstuff.com/proddetail.asp?prod=HIP9000 for it.

Another thing that is nice about these guns is the left hand charging handle. Why don't more guns have this? The only real downside to this gun is the lack of quality high cap magazines. You're pretty much limited to the factory 10 rounders.

Here's mine. It would look even better if I took the front sight off but I left it on because I've found that even though it doesn't exactly co-witness I can use it for rudimentary aiming through the red dot tube should the dot ever fail.

Never said he was, and never said he wasn't......but, that is my general impression of him........

If you compare him with other distinguished veterans, there is a difference.....and, LV more closely resembles a few others who are.....less than humble, plays army, civilian dress in camos, civilian drive humv's, pretend combat, and try to sell you products based on an admiration of him......

If anyone else prefers to believe him at face value, be my guest.......you could be right, and you could be wrong......but, there doesn't seem to be anything on his site that substantiates what he tells you.
