A 21 year old man from Kosovo shot at a bus where the soldiers were sitting in.

The driver and one soldier were killed. Another soldier was seriously injured.

According to this news article, 2 airmen have been killed, one seriously injured, and one sustaining minor injuries. The bus that was attacked was transporting an Air Force security forces team. The article is posted below:

Unfortunately, I doubt that any of the SF members were armed during that transport. Not that the outcome would have changed on who was killed, but I guarantee that any future gunman would think twice before shooting at a bus full of armed soldiers, let alone SF members, who endure consistant training to counter such a threat.

I have not heard if they were SP's or not? Just the guy, an Islamist from Kosovo, got on a bus and shot them. Now they are saying on CNN that that was the perp's intent. Makes me sick. Wonder when the rest of America is going to wake up or pull their head out of the sand and realize these folks are out to kill US?

Everything I've read said they were members of an LN SFS on their way to either A-stan or Iraq via Ramstein.

Yes, they were from a Security Forces Squadron out of RAF Lakenheath heading to Afghanistan.

I hope they start having more armed personnel when transporting men and equipment. Usually a few people from the squadron sees them off/drops them off like a mobility guy, the shirt, some other back office people.

I don't see that happening with SOFA, hands are tied with that.
