My G23 was manufactured in 2000 (3rd gen.) what extended slide stop do I need. 2 pin,or 3 pin. I cannot seem to get a part number from looking at part dealer sites. Thanks in advance.

They all use a 3 pin set up except the G36. Glockstore has them as does Lone Wolf.

Just be sure to order one for a G23, 2 or 3 pin makes no difference.

What are you hoping to gain with an extended slide stop/release? If you shoot two handed with a high thumb there is a good chance you can/will engage the slide stop when you don't want to (ask me how I know).

I'm a southpaw, my thumbs (when shooting)are on the right side of the slide so theres no chance of them hitting it. and my present extended slide stop/release is kinda pushed in. It should be replaced so I'd figured I would replace it with an extended one.
