LaserLyte S/N Sticker on G23 Slide

Bought a new Glock 23 Gen 3 at Cabela's today. The rear sight is a LaserLyte unit. This is my first Glock and laser.

While cleaning/lubing, I realized the LaserLyte sticker on the top of the slide has the laser's serial number; it's not just a throw-away advertisement. Leaving it there seems ugly.

Question: Is there any reason I can't simply remove it and tape it somewhere in my Glock carrying case?
(I've already recorded the laser's s/n in several places amongst my normal shooting records.)

I've looked on this site for some FAQ info, but didn't spot anything re this question.

No reason at all in my view, get it off your gun. It's an eyesore and will interfere with cleaning at the very least.
