Guys, I normally don't bring up TOS here, but have any of you experienced the 1911 sub-forum over on XD? :dunno:

I don't want to push the rules and link examples, but the ignorance and idiocy over there never ceases to amaze me. I lurk from time to time, but very rarely post.

Compared to our sub-forum, its like going from honors study to a special needs class. Good Lord

Sorry to be crude.

I bought my XD before they got gun of the year, it was $300 and change. Out the door under 350. I don't think I would buy a new one at the prices they go for now.

I have not been in that forum for years, not much going on over there.

I love the HK steel pistols.

Seriously, HK is the ONLY polymer line that I am a big fan of. I want a P30 at some point.

I like Glocks and the others too, but compared to the classic steel and metal pistols, polymers don't do it for me.

I currently own two Glocks, a Sigma, an XDm, a PX4, an FN 5.7, a Mark 23, a Sig Pro, and some others.

I go to the XD Forum from time to time. JoeOU1 on there is me. I usually get along pretty well, but have seen some real clowns from time to time. I just go to the 1911 and AR sections. Mostly 90% in 1911. The other day, I had a guy tell me that I needed to produce actual proof that I had sent a Rock Island back for work (front sight started falling out of the dovetail on day one, before I had gotten to 25 rounds), and that they had paid for shipping both ways, as they should for a repair. He tells me that their policy is for me to pay shipping to them and they pay it back to me. I tell the story note for note, and another clown chimes in and wants me to produce more proof. :rofl:The first clown then says he's going to send Armscor an email wanting to know if I'm telling the truth or not. :rofl:Well, so far, he hasn't gotten back to me yet with his findings, but then again, I can't seem to find in my records, the Fed Ex shipping labels either, so I guess we're at a stalemate.

Well, that speaks bad of their customer service IMO. I just called and asked to speak with Arnel, told him that I had just taken it out of the box, and in less than 25 rounds, the front sight started to fall out of the dovetail. He said they'd take care of it and to send it back. I asked how he wanted me to send it and he said Fed Ex and then gave me their acct number for the shipping to be paid. :dunno:Maybe I just caught them on a good day I guess. I will say, that I would have thrown a 5 H 1 T fit if they would have asked me to pay shipping back to them for something like that.

I like them both, but prefer the ergos of the M model. :dunno:

I am on that site and there is a strong number that like the XD over the XDM for a variety of reasons. I'm still waiting to fire the new XDMc models. They feel great in the hand but still need to shoot it before I buy it.

The XD's are about $400 to $525 and the XDM's are about $550 to $650. And like the Gen 3 vs Gen 4 debate the XD has been around and proven many more years vs the XDM and some people have been shooting them for so long that their used to the XD.

I do like both guns but prefer the XD over the XDM. The site is not bad, I enjoy it especially better
than the MP one (the S&W one is ok)
