I have been looking for a Springfield Armory 1911 TRP or Mil-Spec Full Rail and they are not easy to come by.
Any suggestions?

I see one or two a month on the major classifieds. They go for a pretty penny. Anywhere from $1400 to $1800 depending on condition and location.

Is the rail a must,.......have you given a Les Baer Monolith any thought?

I'd hold out for the TRP between those two.

I love my TRP with the half rail! What's the point of having a full rail? Doesn't look as good imo.

The added weight out front makes it a very soft shooter.
The last factory 1911 I owned was a Springfield full-rail GI Operator. It's the only factory 1911 I miss!!

45's are pretty mild especially in a full size! Can't believe that is the reason they did the full rail.
