Picking up a gently used Springfield EMP in 9mm

Have not had the time to do a bunch of research, what are the opinions of these?

I see you got Log Man's modded mags.
What's the story with the rear sight? 10-8?

The problem with the EMP's is that they get lonesome. They need a life partner to function properly. So you better send it to me so that my EMP can provide the proper nurturing that is so obvious it desperately needs. :crying:

Otherwise, it will never shoot properly and you will just hate it...:whistling:

Send me a check,........

When I get my Miller Custom GI back from the shop, the EMP will have a friend.

Those are great looking guns! I was thinking about getting one for summer carry until I realized it was not much smaller than my Ultra Carry II I use during the colder/coat months.

Yep,......plan on getting mags modded my LogMan, so I felt bevels would be best for me.

I got the flats because I was planning on rounding the corners instead of a bevel.

The answer is that yes they are 10-8 sights and that you can get them through the website in the link.

The EMPs are well loved :) However, they are not perfect guns. If you read the extremely long thread on the forums1911 board you will notice a few common problems. I had my 40SW EMP three days before it lost the guide rod downrange. I've been waiting over two weeks for a replacement :(

We did like it enough that we bought a 9mm for my wife.

k45,

Darn good point. However, ALL manufacturers have had issues at one time or another.
My EMP has over 750 rounds fired, 100% flawless operation............so far. :whistling:

I think it's good to go, but, can I be 110% sure? Most likely not.

So.....third time's a charm!

Grips are good-to-go!
Got the 10-8 sight installed.
Received the mod'ed mags from LogMan.

I realize that I'm really, really old school but I hadn't realized there was a new and improved way to load mags.

Perhaps I need to re-subscribe to a few gun publications.

Movin' around well enough to get the new 1050 adjusted and load a few 9's for the new Trojan.

Not movin' well enough to try it out so I sent the SIL out back to shoot it. The grin on his face told me what I'm missing. Oh well, we'll see what next week brings.
