I had a grip reduction on my G30 to better fit my hands. While it significantly reduced the overall grip size, the backstrap and trigger reach remains about the same.

I understand that the Glock 30 Short Frame and Gen 4 models have a reduction in this area of 3mm to improve trigger reach.

Has anyone attempted to remove this excess material in the backstrap on a Gen 3 model. If so, I would really appreciate your insight on about how much material there is to work with or if this is even possible.

All comments are appreciated. Thanks.

If your hand is limiting the use of the gun, you might want to try a different platform.

Try out the Gen 4 and 30SF, first to see if / how much more you would need.

If you want to try another platform, the Taurus PT145 holds 13 rounds and is almost as big as a g19, with a slim and ergonomic grip. it is a nice slim package. The G36 is a lo capacity option.
