has anyone here written a book (serious question)

so, i have an idea for a book. my question is, should i be worried about going into to much detail in the storyline? it would be a fiction love story (yes, i'm a guy, no, i don't want to hear it).

i heard a song, and by the time it was over, half of the book was rolling around in my head.
