What can you all tell me about these?? Price? Reliability?
Does not have GSR on the slide, it does have a beveled mag well and some really nice grips.
Brand spankin' new, can't wait to shoot it.

I've have a C3 for about a year now & its my favorite handgun. Its been 100% reliable, very accurate & its my EDC. It carries very well & I think its a great looking 1911. When I got it I had a hard time finding a holster to suit me & finally had one made. Personally I would not trade it for another $1000.00 1911 out there.

There have been several threads in the last month or so on the C3. Break out your search-fu and you should easily find them and you can probably get more feedback on it.

I just picked one up about a month ago. I have only put about 200 rounds through, but haven't had a single problem.

The search button is like way up at the top of my screen, and I gotta type like 5 letters....geez.....I'm just too lazy for all this effort! :crying:

I did the search, looks like it's not a fav of the 1911 dieharders because of the slide dimensions, but I love the way it looks and feels. Time will tell! Now I need a fudge round or two to get my energy level back up after all this searchin'...

Wasn't saying that to be a dik by any means. Just seems like you weren't getting a lot of response and like I said, there have been a few threads about the C3 lately. I think the general issue is definitely the slide. Most concur you can do better for similar cash and not have to worry about holster issues.

whats the difference between a C3 and a RCS? do these series have a ramped barrel and a FPS or are they purely 70 series?
any info is appreciated.

The rcs has been "anti snagged"- they round off the corners. I have an rcs and have no complaints about the gun.

thanks Lawdog, I'm interested in the RCS, but theres not one locally I can get a look at. Can you tell me if the barrel has an integral ramp, or if theres a firing pin block safety?
Thanks for your help sir,
Randall

No ramped barrel and it does have a firing pin block. It is really nice for carry. I was trying to sell mine but bud's guns has them for sell bnib for what I was asking for mine. I have had some problems getting certain kydex holsters to fit but most leather ones fit well.

Why does the slide release lever have a different finish than the safety and other stainless (satin silver) finished surfaces? I just ordered a 5" rail SSS version (stainless finish) and I know I'm going to be sending the gun back to Sig after I get it. I called them about it, and they said they weren't sure what I was referring to. I've seen them. This didn't look like a problem on 2009, maybe some 2010 models. I have been hot and heavy wanting to have a Sig 1911 for awhile now.
