View Full Version : What would you buy???

It looks like I have my TRG/S&B combo sold. I'm going to use some of the proceeds to buy a 1911 or two. Right now I have two options that I'm totally up in the air on.

Option 1
Guncrafter NN Commander and an older Colt (Commercial or National Match)

Option 2
Pistol Dynamics Combat Special Evo

Bac responded to my earlier PD thread, and I know that he likes his, but can anyone give me any insight to help sway me to one or the other? I'm thinking two guns instead of one, but I'm also a fan of quality over quantity. Just so everyone knows where I'm at now with 1911's I currently have a Baer TRS, a custom Delta Elite built by Bruce Gray, and I'm also on the list with George for a Pro.

Any insight/opinions/experience is appreciated.

I don't have either, but i would go with Option 2

I did. Been really slow about the range report and pics next to the big brother. The only difference in pics is that it now sports the standard long (not flat) trigger.

I'd go with A, but with a Baer Commanche vs NN and a year of birth colt commercial

Wow.

They are two great options. I honestly could not decide myself. The Pistol Dynamics is a masterpiece, but the No Name is a well built duty gun and I love old Colts.

I'd probably go with the PD, as its a once in a lifetime sort of gun. Paul won't be building them forever. You can always get a Guncrafter and Colt later.

That's awesome.

Yeah, Paul's wife Marie handles the orders and quotes. She will have Paul give you a call to work out the details of your build. They were requiring 40% down back when I ordered my Signature. I'm not sure if that's changed or not.

It's still 40% down at the time the order is placed and the balance is due when the gun is ready for final finishing.

Mine got held up at the hard chrome vender, so I paid the full amount 4 months before I got it.

Not quite guys.

I ordered it in December 2007 and got it in December 2009. It would have been 3 or 4 months earlier, but it got held up when they changed hard chrome venders.

Still, its a long wait. I'm not sure what his waiting list is like nowadays.
