View Full Version : Little Brother is Home - NN Commander
So I am very late on getting this up, but wanted to post a couple of new pics not yet seen on GT and give my range report. First of all, this was another awesome transaction from Dave (DRC767). He has already posted a number of pics on here once before, so I am just adding a few where the short trigger has been replaced with the standard long.
I have only made it to the range once since I picked it up March 11. Round count is ~400. It has been absolutely flawless. I fed it a mixture of WWB, Blazer Brass, and Hornady TAP in Wilson 47d, ETM, and Metalforms. This is my first non Government model 1911, so I do not have anything in my stable to compare it apples to apples with. In any case, this my new daily carry and have it pictured below with my Occidental Stronghold.

Cool. I almost bought it myself if it's the one with the small blemish.

Congrats! Looks great.
Alright - sorry for the technical difficulties.
Oh yeah......What a cool pistol!! I got that pistol as a keeper, but as luck would have it, I got the call that my Wilson Elite Profressional was done the day the GC showed up. I don't have enough wine in the house to make my wife cool with 5k worth of pistols for me in 2 days.....she is cool, but she is not that cool. :) I am glad it went to a good home, though!!!! Glad you like it!!
damn that thing looks sweet!!!

Great choice, the gun and the leather.

Thanks. I actually ordered a Sparks in addition to the Occidental and they both showed up on the same day (go figure). I have always liked the way my full size 1911's carried in the Stronghold and after wearing both of them around the house, the Stronghold gets the nod again.

You should keep your eyes peeled for a Nossar IWB III or a Valovak....well worth the money, in my opinion.

I found one on TOS about two weeks back, but he wanted $300. That's a big nut to go sight unseen.

Joe? Is that you??? :)
Wow, great pistol - congrats.
That thing is amazing. I was very close to buying that instead of my srp. Congrats.

Not into the in-between 1911 sizes but that thing is super sharp!
Beautiful NN commander and really nice holster too.
