Ok guys now that I am getting close to paying off my WC I am really looking into holsters. As you guy know there are a bunch of holsters out there. I am looking for an IWB Leather holster without breaking the bank, but not too cheap either. What would you guys recommend?
I have found some that I like but would like to get some input from you guys if you know or have any experience with them.

I always recommend Occidental. The Phoenix Stronghold has become my favorite and they are almost always in stock. I have 4 VM2's and the Phoenix for my 1911's almost always gets the nod. Did I mention that they are almost always in stock or within a few days turnaround?

The same thing can be said of the NM holster I had to wrap the gun in wax paper overnight to get it to loosen up a bit.. But the quality of the work is outstanding for the price. Admittedly my CBST is way more comfortable so it gets more carry time.. well that and it holds an XD...But for $65 it is a deal.. Nate is really great to deal with btw.. :thumbsup:http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm320/cerebrus2099/IMG_0902.jpg

I recently carried my Wilson ULCc in one of those and liked it alot. Pretty comfy. My buddy ended up buying it, as I want to check out a few others before I decide on one. I'm a huge fan of all my CBST's, but Dave keeps telling me I can't be caught out in public with a high dollar gun in one of those cheap things. The shame. The shame. I could be banned from the 1911 carry club if caught. :rofl:I want to try a MS Summer Special as well as the MS VMII.

I vote for the Carl Collins Convertible. I have the one in the picture. Shark trim with OWB & IWB straps. Cost me $173. more then a year ago. One of the snaps got a little loose from use and Carl just sent me a new set of shark straps with snaps at n/c. Fits nice and snug and draws smooth.

Well I just received my holster from Winthropholsters. I don't have much experience with holsters and this is my first real holster. The only other one I have is a cheap Don Hume that I used for my RIA. I don't know. There is no reinforcement in the mouth area, but it does feel pretty stiff and springy. If I push down on the mouth it jumps right back open. This seems like a very well made holster and I plan on a more detailed and BETTER PICS when I get my Wilson.

Cableguy, Jim at C5 Leather is a personal friend of mine, and we have known each other for going on ten years now. I got him into making holsters, and had input on improvements/changes up until he surpassed my expectations and then progressed on his own. I carry C5's now exclusively, even though I have a brand new MS VMII in the closet (it's left handed commander length if anyone is interested in buying one - maroon with shark trim and loops). Anyway, if you order from Jim, I'm sure you'll be surprised at the value. Not to mention the fact that I can put a size 13 boot in an uncomfortable place if he lets you down. ;)
Good luck with your decision, there are a lot of quality holster makers out there!

That is the the truth...
They are soo close that it isn't even funny. I think the Occidental's have a bit more cant then the VMII along with a slightly larger "body/sweat" guard. The VMII can be made "tuckable" with the additon of the kydex clips. It really comes down to personal preference and you can't go wrong with either.
