I just picked up my Springfields (9mm Hi-cap & 38Super Mil-spec).
I got a really good deal on them. The previous owner has the SACS paperwork with them. He spent over $500 to make the .38Milspec into a Loaded, $500 to put Novaks (and other things like cutting the frame for a ramped barrel) on the original .45Hi-cap and $900 to make the Loaded hi-cap into a 9mm Hi-cap. Add the SACS work to the $600 for each gun (from the Davidson's tags in the box) and $1500 for the pair was a steal. one downside is that the finish on the .38Super slide looks like it got worn from shipping, but that's OK, it's Parkerized and i was going to have them refinished down the road.

I'll have pics up later when i get back home.

Good-looking guns.

Thanks!!!!

BTW, the work was done back in 2003. it seems like the 9mm was originally built on the .38Super mil-spec, then later onto the hi-cap frame.

I'm emailing a friend about that gun right now. Funny thing is that he was over shooting my 9x23 just today. He was grinning ear to ear and actually said "GD, why haven't this round taken off??!!! I would buy one immediately, it's the best thing in a 1911!!".

Quack

the guy has listed that one 3 times (14 day auctions) and hasn't sold it yet.
i almost bought it just because it came from the SACS :animlol:

i was looking at the paperwork, and the 9mm topend was built/fit for the single stack frame. the Nowlin barrel is fit tight like the other SACS guns. a nice touch on the new top-end is that they even put the last 3 digits of the serial number on the new barrel and barrel link.

and yes, it needs a bushing wrench to turn the bushing.
